Holly Leaf Decoration
This wooden decoration is based on my drawing of a Holly leaf, one of the native trees of Britain and Ireland.
🌿 This is an individual Holly leaf decoration. 🌿
Holly has long been a symbol of ancient winter feasts in more than just Europe. The broad evergreen leaves and vibrant berries that last well into the coldest months mean it is celebrated as far as Japan.
Interestingly, hundreds of years ago, malaria patients were given tea made from Holly leaves to alleviate their fever.
I laser cut each of my leaf drawings from Birch wood (another UK native) and hang them from large brass hoops (about the size of the circle your finger and thumb make while doing the OK hand symbol👌🏼).
This leaf is also available as part of a set of leaf decorations, all native to Britain and Ireland.
